My first blog!

Hi! I'm Jenifer and I loooovvveee to quilt!! I started quilting 2 1/2 years ago and I have been quilting like crazy ever since. The first quilt that I made was a kitty pattern from a Start-to-Quilt kit from Dritz:

 These fabrics are from my mom, she sent them to me when she cleaned out all of her old craft fabrics from the 80's and earlier. I think that I had a pair of pants made out of the strawberry fabric when I was 3 back in the 70's!!

I decided that instead of a wall-hanging I would turn this little quilt into a pillow.

I had so much fun making it that I promptly made a pillow for my niece's birthday

and my mother-in-law's birthday!

I have made many projects since and I am currently working on quite a few others, which I will share in future posts.

I also love to crochet, knit, and do counted cross-stitch. The afghan that these quilts are sitting on is a granny square afghan that I made in 2005 with yarn from both my grandma and my Hubby's grandma, both of whom had just recently passed away. It felt like a great way to honor and remember them both.
